Frontier of Vail, Inc. d/b/a Dollar Rent A Car of Vail ("Frontier of Vail") and New Frontiers of Jackson Hole, Inc. d/b/a Dollar Rent A Car of Jackson Hole ("New Frontiers") (collectively, "we," "us," or "our") operate the Dollar and Thrifty car rental franchises serving Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and Jackson Hole Airport (JAC). This privacy policy describes how we handle personal information collected through our website, rental counter interactions, and shuttle services.

Information we collect

  • Rental transaction data — name, driver license details, contact information, and payment method, collected during the reservation and rental process through the Hertz/Dollar/Thrifty reservation system.
  • Damage claim information — accident details, photos, insurance information, and statements submitted through our online damage reporting form or at the counter.
  • Shuttle booking information — name, rental agreement number, pickup time, and seat count provided when booking our complimentary airport shuttle.
  • Website usage data — standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
  • Employment information — data provided by employees and applicants in connection with their employment, handled in accordance with applicable labor laws.

How we use your information

Information sharing

We share your personal information only as necessary to operate our business:

  • Hertz Corporation — as franchise operators, we share rental and customer data with Hertz as required by our franchise agreements.
  • Insurance companies — claim-related information when processing damage claims.
  • Service providers — technology vendors that help us operate our systems, subject to contractual data protection obligations.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Our web systems use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized staff members on a need-to-know basis.

Data retention

Rental records are retained as required by our franchise agreements and applicable tax regulations, typically seven years. Damage claim files are retained until the claim is fully resolved and any applicable statute of limitations has expired. You may request deletion of your information where retention is no longer legally required.

Your rights

Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
